ABOUT

Jeffrey is a builder and teacher at heart.  He has built and scaled user experience (UX) research practices several times in his over 25 years in UX, and learned effective research and people management while working under UX icons Tom Tullis, Tomer Sharon, and Eric Schaffer

His management experience includes 10 years building an award-winning, global UX design and research team at JPMorgan Chase, as well as stints developing a user research practice at both Fidelity Investments and Goldman Sachs.  He is currently establishing a research operations practice 'back home' at JPMorgan Chase.  He also spent 6+ years conducting user research internationally as a senior consultant serving clients within the financial services, insurance, pharmaceutical, energy, business services and other domains.

Jeffrey takes every opportunity he can to democratize UX user research by teaching and mentoring students, interns, researchers, designers, product managers, and developers on what it takes to plan, conduct, and analyze best practice research. He currently teaches a graduate level UX course at Pace University, is a frequent guest speaker at the Pratt Institute, and spent 3 years teaching HFI courses on 'The Art and Science of Website and Application Design', 'Practical Usability Testing', and 'The Institutionalization of User Experience in Large Organizations'.

Jeffrey has expertise in nearly all user research methodologies, as well as UX design, web analytics, marketing, accessibility, and statistical analysis.  He earned his MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business and is a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) and Certified Experience Analyst (CXA).
